    What is AT&T Messages?

    With AT&T Messages, you can send and receive text and pictures messages from your tablet or computer. Your messages are stored in the network AT&T cloud for up to 90 days so you can continue keep the conversation even when you switch devices. AT&T Messages uses your AT&T mobile number, so whether you send messages from your smartphone, tablet, or computer, everyone will know the message is from you.

    You need to have a smartphone data plan and receive a monthly bill for your wireless service from AT&T. (GoPhone® or other prepaid service plans are not supported.).

     

    How do I use the AT&T Messages Android tablet application?

    You can run the app on tablets using Android 3.2 or higher. Download AT&T Messages for tablets from Google Play to your tablet and log in using your AT&T Access ID.

     

    How do I use AT&T Messages on the Web from a computer or tablet?

    To use AT&T Messages on the Web, you need an HTML 5 compliant browser. For the best experience, update your browser to the latest version. We recommend the following browsers:

    • Explorer 10
    • Safari 5.1 or later on Mac
    • Safari 6.0 or later on iPad or iPad mini
    • Google Chrome 18 or later
    • Firefox 15 or later

    Note: Microsoft Edge Browser is not supported.

     

    How do I use log in to AT&T Messages on the Web or tablet?

    On your tablet or computer, go to messages.att.net and log in using your AT&T Access ID. Don't have an AT&T Access ID? Follow the directions on the page to set one up. Supported AndroidTM tablets and smartphones can also download the AT&T Messages application from Google Play. AT&T Messages smartphone users have call logs and voice messages included in their inbox as well as on the Web and tablet as long as their phone is also on.

     

    Why don’t I see contact names when I use AT&T Messages on the Web?

    The AT&T Address Book service was retired. AT&T Messages on the Web used AT&T Address Book, not the contacts saved on your device, to store contact information. If you had contacts appearing, they will no longer be visible nor can you create or edit existing contacts. You can still use the site to send and receive messages, however, only phone numbers will be visible.

    Will AT&T Messages work internationally?

    Yes. Additional information about international roaming is available at att.com/global.

AT&T Messages: Your texts, call logs, and voicemail are copied to and stored in your cloud inbox so that they are available on the Web and tablet. If you no longer want your messages copied to your cloud inbox, see the FAQ above for details on how to remove the service. A Messaging Unlimited plan is highly recommended with this application. Compatible device required. Standard messaging and data rates apply.
