NumberSync from AT&T gives you the freedom to use your primary smartphone number on your compatible smartwatch. Your phone doesn’t even need to be nearby or powered on.

What is NumberSync for wearables?

    NumberSync for wearables lets you use your smartphone number on your smartwatch. Now you can make and receive calls and send and receive text messages on your compatible smartwatch. The best part is that you don’t need to stay close to your phone to use NumberSync!

What’s required to use NumberSync for wearables?


    You need the following:

    • An AT&T postpaid wireless account that’s been set up for AT&T HD Voice
    • An AT&T HD Voice-compatible smartphone
    • A wearable device that supports NumberSync and has eligible AT&T wireless service
    • An AT&T User (Access) ID associated with the smartphone number
      Note: This ID is unique from what you may have created for DirecTV or UVerse

     

What’s the cost to use NumberSync for wearables?

    There’s no additional cost beyond that of the wireless rate plans for your smartwatch and smartphone. Note that data rates, rather than messaging rates, apply when you use NumberSync to send and receive text messages.

Which wearables can I use with the NumberSync service?

    Check the Compatibility section above for a current list of smartwatches that are compatible with NumberSync. As new smartwatches are added, we’ll update that list.

How many wearable devices can I sync up with my mobile phone?

    You can sync up to five (5) smartwatches to your AT&T mobile number.

Where can I use NumberSync for wearables?

    You can use NumberSync for wearables in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands, and when roaming abroad. If you’re outside the AT&T-owned and -operated domestic coverage area, calls from your smartwatch will show your smartwatch’s number, not your smartphone number. When roaming, the voice and data roaming rates for your wearable rate plan or international travel package will apply.

Do my devices need to be close to each other for NumberSync for wearables to work?

    No, they don’t. You can use NumberSync on your compatible smartwatch even if your smartphone is in a different location or turned off.

Is NumberSync for wearables available to all AT&T customers?

    No, it’s not available yet for customers with smartphones on prepaid service. Remember, you need to have a compatible smartphone and smartwatch, and your smartphone account must be set up for AT&T HD Voice.

How do I set up and manage NumberSync for wearables?

    It’s easy to set up and manage your service through myAT&T. You can log in to the myAT&T smartphone app, or use the link below.

    Note that the manufacturer of your smartwatch may also provide unique steps to sync your smartphone and smartwatch.

Is it possible to sync a NumberSync capable smartwatch with an iPhone?

    Yes, you will be able to use NumberSync for wearables for your calls; however, the messaging experience will be limited. AT&T Messages Backup & Sync (AMBS) does not sync your text messages with your iPhone nor can you access iMessages from the smartwatch.

    For the best possible experience while using the NumberSync for wearables service with iPhone, you’ll need to turn off iMessage® in order to receive all text messages on the smartwatch. On your iPhone, go to Settings, Messages, iMessage and select OFF. When not utilizing NumberSync for wearables, you can choose to turn iMessage back on.
